This made me look, stop and listen to the sound of the fountain. How creative! From the funnypictures365.com. Thanks for making me smile even for a while.
The Stone Scene Stealer
You’ll never guess that the biggest scene stealer in English Bay beach park is not the ocean, the sand , nor the ladies in swimwear but a stone inuit sculpture that stood oblivious to the air, sea and the birds. The Inukshuk, known as a traditional scupltural form made from unworked stone caught my attention (at first glance it looks like a mini version of The Stonehenge in Wiltshire England), such a natural work of art. 🙂
The Colorful Beetle
I grew up seeing this car (the volkswagen beetle) in the streets of manila way back. Now i seldom see this type of car roaming the streets and the last time i saw a dozen of this was on a Vintage Car exhibit few years way back at The Global City. I remember calling this car “the bugs bunny ” when i was a kid, So what a surprise when i saw this beetle with a twist on the street of vancouver. What a creative way to jazz up one’s car ! I just wonder if the art stays the same after the car wash. 🙂
People Art Installation
Within the Canadian Museum of Civilization ground in Ottawa, one can’t help but notice tall white figures resembling a human form from a far. Only when you walked towards it, you’ll notice that it’s actually figures of people created by Montreal artist Louis Archambault.for Montreal’s Expo ’67, He named it “People”. You can pose on his several depictions like emblem of the Sun, depiction of a Pregnant Woman, Three Children, Family, Poet , Philosopher and others. . A cool sculpture that shouldn’t be miss especially if you’re strolling in that serene park besides the ottawa river. – by JoelF
