Typical – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

Sun shines
rain drops

Blue clouds
on summertime

Flowers bloom
despite the gloom

Is it typical
or magical

When sun sets
with golden hues

Reminding you
tomorrow’s news

Will be
in a treasured chest

Of memories
you won’t forget.

And when he said
he’s leaving now

You realized
it’s typical

For sunrise
to say hello

and say goodbye
with purple glow.

Restart, The Write Way To Right A Resignation Letter

the write way to right a resignation letter, joys of joel blog writing, life quotes
Restart – The Write Way To Right A Resignation Letter – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

“Where do I begin,” (that famous line from a familiar song) to tell a story where I’ve been. Been somewhere, anywhere, nope, truthfully nowhere.

Now I don’t know how to start. They say time heals all wounds, and if missing something is a wound, and starting all over again is a form of healing then let me have a thousand scars for although I’m not a masochist, I welcome the pain of waiting. And if somehow one can’t understand what I’m conveying, it’s okay not to be understood once in a while. Why would I expect others to understand if I, myself don’t understand where I’ve been, eventhough I always claimed I know where I’m heading.

Subject verb agreement, punctuation errors and a lot of grammatical lapses. I am not an English writer and it does not pain me when I tender my resignation letter and realized that he’s not reading my letter. Yes, he is not hearing me, he is looking at my letter telling me how in the world can I write a resignation letter with misspelled words and grammatical lapses. That deceitful feeling of finally getting even by giving him a hard time deciphering what I meant when I said I’m leaving. Or is it just the real me when I blabber with incongruent statements because truthfully I am a weird eccentric person who is not good in saying goodbye.

So I closed the door and walked away…. But in no time I’m back in his arms,  restartng what could have been, what might have been, what should have been and all those in betweens.

Been There.  Done That.  How I wish I could truthfully say that. 🙂

Reflections on Love and Life

reflections on love and life, beautiful rhyming love poem by joys of joel, inspirational love poems, pondering heart quotes
https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

Welcoming waves
as I see from a far.

Amazed by the maze
that ponders a willing heart.

Random thoughts
that suddenly seep

Who would have expected
it would swept me off my feet

How could you say
it is not to bloom

when i see nothing
but gardens of roses inside my room.

A dream is not a dream
until you wake up from it

then suddenly you found
yourself gasping for breath

The tide at its height
and the fire in his eyes

seem like signs
for that unexpected mire.

Although the sun is so bright
yet the clouds are in its form

as if it’s about
to welcome a storm,

But how could you see
an impending rain

if the sun is so bright
it blinded your eyes?

The clock suddenly move
voicing out its call

saying it’s time
to heed its alarms.

You can go back to sleep
and be lulled by its troll

or wake up and dive in
and be ready for a fall.

Life is Like An Ocean

life is like an ocean, joys of joel beautiful life poems, inspiring life quotes, how do you surf the waves
Life is like an ocean – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

Life is like an ocean.  It comes in waves ebbing and flowing.   Sometimes the water is calm, sometimes it’s overwhelming.  And just when you thought you’ve seen it all, you’ll be caught by surprise that there’s more to come.

Realizing that life is a cycle.  Still being thankful that there will always be something to be grateful for.  And knowing deep inside that there will always be something beautiful to look forward to.

Yes, the best wave of your life is still out there.  Learn from the waves and enjoy the ride.

The Reluctant Surfer

The reluctant surfer
I used to be
scared of the storm
and the waves I see

the water looks deep
and the height is steep

Avoiding it
I thought i’m a wise man
so I just stay on the beach
and build my castle on the sand

But even on the shore,
the waves swept it all

Can’t believe
I thought it’s safe
when i build some walls

So I look for surfboards
and try to ride
the waves that come
and learned from the tide

The fear from the fall
and the pain that it brings
when one is too slow
for paddling and wave breaking

Slowly as i passed
the eye of the tide
and survived the waves
that almost blinded my sight

I stand up all wet
and teary eyed
wiser this time
as the tide subsides

The reluctant surfer
I used to be
gone is the fear
and i’m finally free.

Waiting by Joel F

beautiful love poems by joel f, quotes about hope and faith, joys of joel poems, inspirational rhyming poems
Waiting – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

Short as life is,
our expectations make it shorter
by the careless whisper of time.

And even if time can heal a broken heart,
it can also break a waiting heart.

The sun always shines
and hope always floats

Though the river never pass
and touch the same stone

We wait and believe
that the rainbow of life
offers a pot of gold.
