The Mud Pie Mojo stirs some memories when we drop by in an ice cream shop named Coldstone. Yes, it is cold but even with a heart of stone, glancing at their signature creations, suddenly I remember my first lick and that unforgettable obsession. The banana flavored ice cream with chocolate chips, reminding me of that devotion and its rendezvous illusion.
Somehow life’s memories replicate my ice cream fantasies. So I lick it slow then lick it fast….because I know it might not last.
I wonder why I have few photos in any shopping malls i’ve been to.
Let me guess. All of them almost look the same? Nope not really. Every shopping mall is distinctive in its own way. Each one has its own unique ambiance and feel.
Now I know why I have such a few shopping mall photos. It’s because i’m not really a shopaholic or a shopping diva. I get an orgasmic feeling (oops, pardon my words) in visiting museums or dropping by in flea markets.
I’m such a cheapskate when it comes to splurge shopping but it doesn’t mean I don’t get excited everytime i hopped in a mall.
It still offers a variety of experience:
– the excitement of letting my fingers run through a mountain of color coded items during the rummage sale and ending up not buying a single thing.
(This is not intentional. I’m not here to give store people a hellish experience. It happened just once, nope, just twice, alright, i admit several times but i do buy when i see something i like.)
– the smile in my face when i see an artful window display.
– the hedonistic pleasure I derived from watching people as I sit on the bench pretending to be waiting for someone when in fact i’m just sitting because i don’t have a single cent to spend on that too good to be true discounted signature items splashed all over the mall.
(Did you see that va vaboom lady carrying a handful of LV’s with her daddy? I’m not being bitter here. Envy is a green eyed monster, jealousy is blue, my eyes are neither of the two)
–and that endless rebuttal with a friend proving my point that yes he is really her daddy, not the kind of thing that causes diabetes. Until someone nearby butts in telling us to mind our own business. Priceless!
(Look who’s talking, unwanted eavesdropper, if only I could tell her to mind her own business too.)
There are things that money can’t buy. Cliche as it may sound, the best things in life are still free.
Why is February a Love Month? I don’t know the answer. One thing i know is I love to share something about love through poetry……..Since February is make love, oops, i mean made up of 8 letters, let me share you 8 Love Poems/Musing.

I see the christmas lights and hear the yuletide carols. I remember hiding under the mistletoe. The yesteryears of waiting for santa, expecting a gift eventhough i’ve been naughty, not nice.
I opened the beautifully wrapped gifts. In excitement i ignore the intricate wrappings. I barely acknowledge the efforts taken in covering the precious presents. Sometimes i forget to give thanks not just for the gifts but for its beautiful wrappings.
Oh, christmas is just around the corner. A time to be jolly and sleigh rides. But what happens when Santa’s reindeers are missing because their antlers are used for decorating? And yes when the sleigh bells started ringing, are you really listening or just hearing?
Although i admit i don’t live in winter wonderland, it doesn’t mean i can’t feel the cold snow and its breeze. But the happy lights of yuletide lanterns and strangers’ smiling faces can make me say, indeed it’s a beautiful happy sight.
One need not wait for christmas day, loving and sharing is not just for a day. It’s all year through for someone with a giving and grateful heart. But every year, i don’t know why i am more kind, when the christmas bells are starting to chime.

Truly life is not life without any kind of love. Life begins with love and ends in love. Romantic love, Family love, self-love, selfish love, selfless love, whatever kind of love that keeps you going.
And love should not always be romantic.
Any passion that makes you wake up in the morning with rays of hope is also love.
You may be childless but you can love a child not your own or hate the mess they put you in but still love creating books for them.
How is that possible? I don’t know. All i know is life is full of mysterious things inexplicable by logic such as love. If only i know the answers. Oh, i’d rather keep it that way, after all, Life starts with L for love and learning and ends in letter E for end. Life ends. Love doesn’t.
Life is Learning and Love is encompassing. No wonder both of them have only four letters.
Both words start with L and ends in E. The only difference is the letters in between.
Life has a big If , and if you take away the f, then life becomes a lie,
but love doesn’t include if. No wonder we love without If’s, most of the time i guess.
Love’s in between letters are OV. I can’t think of any words that starts with Ov.
Well, Over? When love is over , one thinks life ends. But that confuses me, if those two in between letters differentiate life from love, then why is the ending the same?
Oh never mind, life is really simple i just make it complicated. So instead of defining life, I’d rather write a poetry. 🙂
“Hawaii is paradise. It sounds cheesy to say it, but there’s music in the air there.”. –Bruno Mars.
Yes, there’s music, a melody that springs from your heart and a rhythm that springs from your hope. Hawaii is such a beautiful place, some say it’s a paradise, others say it is heaven.
No matter how you call it, one thing is sure, you can’t get enough of it especially when you’re about to leave. It’s a mini California: countless beaches . only bigger waves for surfers, endless branded boutiques and countless hollywood celebrities.
Should I say a a mini vegas too? So many hotels, exotic and world class shows. A mini Jamaica because reggae is everywhere. So many Japanese, Asians, Europeans; domestic and international tourists.
History, Culture, Shopping, Nature, for such a small state, there’s so much things to do and so many places to see. You walk , bike, drive, swim, surf or dive, or just simply do nothing, lay on the beach and watch the sunset and the changing colors of the sky.
I’d love to post all my pictures here, Hawaii is such a paradise i believe it needs a whole website for it.
I remember walking by the beach and witnessing a beach wedding and a funeral simultaneously happening, reminding me of life itself where falling in love is like experiencing the joys of wedding and break ups giving you the feel of attending your own funeral. Life is a bitch really. Ooops, I mean Life is a Beach. 🙂

Fishing is a great time buster , a way to enjoy nature and a great stress reliever. I can actually cite a hundred reasons to do it but i respect your time so i come up with just 5 good ones:
Fishing with family and friends cultivate bonding. It strengthens your relationship when you have enjoyable shared activities with people who mattered. Well, unless of course you start fishing into their private life behind their back, that’s a different story. Proves that you don’t really need to go outdoors to go fishing. Just go online, log in to your facebook and you can tweet who’s got the largest fish in the group.
2. Health Reasons
It’s always better to get your own fish…fresh, as wild fish are known to be low in fat and cholesterol and high in protein and there are many fishes in the ocean, especially the wild ones! 🙂
You get a certain fulfillment. Who wouldn’t? After a long bout of sitting and doing nothing, it’s such a great joy catching a big fish.
It brings out the best in you. You find creative ways of using a great pawn to bait the one you’ve been longing for.
Fishing is educational.
– It teaches you a lot of lessons.
– You learned more about yourself, your strengths, hopes and wishes.
– It tests your patience and willpower that no matter what, by hook or by crook you won’t go home empty handed.
Fishing is like life, just when you thought you had the perfect expensive equipment to catch that elusive fish, somewhere along the way you’ll discover that it’s not how much you have or how prepared you are for that moment that gives you the exact advantage.
And at the start of that fishing expedition you won’t really settle for anything less than that “huge catch” because you rightfully deserve something bigger , not until you realized that it’s almost dusk, you’d rather have one crappy fish than nothing at all.
I have to write a blogpost regarding these events and i am in a quandary as what to post.
Should i make a beautiful artwork of my past halloween photos, those flirty gay costumes that led to a one night stand somewhere in west hollywood?
or narrate my real life ghost stories, the “I SEE DEAD PEOPLE” kind of thing that almost resemble that Bruce Willis Sixth Sense movie?
Hmm, or just post something about My Favorite Ghost Movies. Let Me think.
All right, i’ll go with the subtle one first : My Favorite Ghost Movies (listed in no particular order just like those finalists in Miss Universe contest).
Somewhere in Time (Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour)
This is a classic movie. This is the very first movie that made me cry. Why? Honestly? Simply because i don’t understand the story.
I was in grade school playing with my neighbour when her sister and her sister’s gay friends started screaming because they’ll be watching the gorgeous mister superman christopher reeve.
While I was playing dolls with my gal pal, I’m also watching the film, although I never really understood the plot as my playmate keep talking to me.
What I knew was this film made the gay guys cry and I don’t know why I also cried with them . And when they started singing that “Somewhere in Time “ song, I can see in their faces that they really mean every word of it. (which I later understood when I had my first broken heart)
Years after, during my high school days I look for this film and this time watch it all alone and oh boy, it’s really a touchy movie. Looking back I can say it’s not your typical ghost story. It’s actually more of a fantasy love story , more of a time travel , back to the past sort of thing.
Ghost (Demi Moore, Patrick Swayze, Whoopi Goldberg)
What can I say? Another movie that made me cry but this time I knew why.
A commercial success that proves that a ghost movie need not be that horrifying and grotesque to be a blockbuster hit.
I love Demi Moore , her beautiful face and trendy short hair is unforgettable and that lip lock with Whoopi is such an epic scene for me. Beautiful.
This movie shows what true love is all about even after death.
And who would ever forget Ghost theme song “Unchained Melody”, the ghost song that riveted all over the radios and pop charts even years after the movie was shown.
Just Like Heaven (Reese Witherspoon, Mark Ruffalo)
One of my favorite Reese Witherspoon’s movie. This is a heartwarming cute love story This is about an architect falling in love with the spirit of the woman who used to live in his apartment.
Well, I don’t really have to tell you the whole story. I’m not making a review here either. I just like this movie and I like Reese Witherspoon . ( and Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep who happened to be not in this movie 😉 )
The Sixth Sense ( Bruce Willis, Haley Joel Osment)
“I see dead people….. all the time. They don’t know they’re dead. They’re everywhere.”
Truly one of my favorite ghost movies.
Some people may not agree with me but there are things that up to now science can’t still explain and seeing dead people or ghosts is one of them. Some call it a gift, others call it a curse.
Whatever it is, this movie made me realized that whatever gift you have, one must always use it for the right reasons.
The brilliant performance of a young guy haley would really make you believe he is scared to death, and really seeing ghosts. Superb acting.
And yes, this movie is also all about love, being accepted for who you are and believing in yourself even if others call you a freak .
This movie made me cry again. (I am such a cry baby and who would ever think a ghost movie would make me shed tears?)
The Others (Nicole kidman)
“ Death of a loved one can lead people to do the strangest things.”
“Sometimes the world of the living gets mixed up with the world of the dead”
Such a brilliant way of storytelling. One thing good about this movie is the way the story is being narrated.
The suspense, the angst of putting you at the edge of your seat just by making you think.
The unexpected twist in the ending.
This is not a typical ghost story where you have to scream at every scene, where you need dark cinematography to scare your wits.
Its simple no frills, no high technology make up or production , can still make you think and wonder what the hell is going on and still end up not being shortchange.
Truly a masterpiece. I must say This is my All Time Favorite Ghost Movie.
The Ghostbusters (Dan Akroyd)
Enough of the heavy ones. This film is a mushy ghost movie that made me laugh. The only ghost movie where I keep laughing.
The plastic gadgets that we all bought on a mall just to appear cool during Halloweens. This movie is a crap, but the only crap that I really love.
And nothing can be funnier when you sing that song “If there’s something strange in the neighbourhood, who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!”
Unforgettable song for growing kids, who would ever imagine we would sing and dance this on our Christmas Presentation and it’s not even Halloween.
