If time creates memory and memory defines time, where am i?
Am i still in the past when i hope that the good things i have will last?
Or am i now in the present when my future steps in a split second
For sure i’m not yet in the future because i still keep my prayer in my door.
If my past defines my future, where will my present be?
Is it in the middle of the two, a prelude to a future past beyond my grasp?
If my present decides my future, who decides my past?
Wasn’t my past was also once my future in the not so distant present?
Time really confuses me, so i let go of my time. They say spend it wisely.
Does being wise mean you spend your time preparing for your future?
But how can you prepare for your future without neglecting the precious present?
How can you be wise when it goes so quickly?
Good thing i got memories.
But memories belong to the past not the future.
And time moves in a different direction, memory in another.
Time moves forward. Memory relives the past.
I’ll just enjoy the moment. I don’t know how to spend my time wisely.
I’ll just use it.

It is such a feast to one’s soul when we read other people’s writings and enjoy it; also a feast to our senses when we see artful creations by other artists who we’ve never met reminding us that the world is such a huge beautiful place, reminding me of that john lennon’s Ebony and Ivory song “people are the same wherever you go.” The need to express oneself and the need to be heard regardless of who we are and where we are. Thanks Kamal.

For a minute reading this post I thought you were trying to confuse me. (smile). But I liked it. Makes one think about time and how best to spend it, so that the memories acquired today, once in the past, will be sweet memories. Thanks for this post.

Ahhh time… time is a jet plane, it moves too fast… but then we are waiting for someone, expecting something different… or else expecting rain.. and time pass slowly..present is right now, and when I started writing this it’s already a thing of the past…. but the moment is gone and the new now is the future…but already present. There’s too much confussion!

I like how you analogize it with plane, train and writing. That pretty explains time’s eccentric qualities. I don’t know the answer but they say we live in a multiverse, ohh…forget it, i don’t want to complicate this. lol
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thought Luis. I appreciate it.

Mine too with so many questions. Thanks Vinny for that very kind compliment.
I love that “dope” word. At first i didn’t know what that means because english is not my first language. You know the only dope that i know is that slang street word so i check google and learn it means good or great.
Now i learned another word. Thanks Vinny for stopping by . I learned something new today.

The time conundrum: each one of us has to decide how to move in time until we empower ourselves to move out of it. There is a simplicity to it if one realized that the famously expounded upon “present” doesn’t exist – has no dimension, just like a line, or a dot. All it is, is a line between the past and the future. We can be mindlessly forever skipping across that line, jumping out of the past into the future and calling it the present, thus remaining on the spinning wheel to nowhere, or we can expand ourselves, stretch into the past, farther and further… then into the future to see what’s coming like a surfer judging and gauging a comber. Then we stop running. The trick to self-empowerment is to become managers and controllers of both, our past (including past lives) and our future (including future lives). Once we learn to do that then time is no longer our master, but our vehicle. We drive it, it does not drive us. Eventually we can live our lives as if time did not exist at all. It is after all an artificial construct, an instrument of measure, not a state of consciousness.

We can think too much about time, and thereby lose or waste it. Mindfulness–being present now–honors the time God gives me, for however long it lasts. Hey, I’m REALLY enjoying the M & M’s, so thanks again for talking about them–Delightful!!!

lol, that’s a good one. Sometimes when you made something so wrong (being disorganized) it makes you feel so right. Because by then, you’d made them feel they’ve got a purpose. And that makes you unwisely wise. 🙂

Indeed, I have found by not working to the clock (fortunate enough to not have to anymore) my days, weeks, months are so much more meaningful to me. Doing ‘stuff’ when it feels like the right time not the informed correct time is wonderful. Still learning to enjoy each moment because thats all we ever really have………….this moment.
