Life is short, play naked – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com/

I want to welcome October with a naughty smile.

October is my birthday month and what a better way to celebrate it by wearing my birthday suit.

So i created a little fun collage of several quotes from other poets celebrating nudity, oops i mean  being naked.

The truth about being naked, the naked truth about being me.

Oh by the way, this photo was taken during my “life is short, play naked birthday celebration”  on my younger, wilder who cares what they think uninhibited days some octobers ago.

Surely my friends would give a hmmp on why i’m posting this on the worldwide web and at my age i can only say  two words and a question mark :  Why not?

And since i know you will never share your naked photos with me, i don’t mind you sharing your favorite naked quotes on the comment section.  Life is short, let’s play naked. 🙂

  1. Give me an excuse and I’ll be naked! When people come to visit and the sun’s shining they always ask at the gate; “Hey, are you decent?” to which I invariably reply, “I’m always decent when I’m naked.” And my birthday is October 3… Yes, another Libran, how about that! Let’s hear it for those October people who I already can guess were all born naked.

    1. Wow, advance happy birthday Sha’ Tara. Our birthdays really close, you just add 1 to 3, and that’s my natal day. Oct. 13.

Thanks for sharing that wonderful quote and sharing some info about yourself.

      1. Well, wonderful. Here’s to you getting naked again, with another naked significant other for the fun of it all. We should all be playing naked, all the time and a really, really, REALLY good question is, WHY CAN’T WE? When I suggest openly and publicly that we should all be naked all the time except of course when we actually need clothing, I get the GREAT CIVILIZED SOCIETIZED SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. Why do civilized people fear their own bodies? And isn’t that a huge indicator that something’s terribly wrong with man’s civilization? We’re always digging at finding ever more esoteric solutions to the great evils that plague man when the obvious literally stares us in the face. Psychologically, would aggressive violence increase or decrease if people went naked? If, for example, wars were fought in the nude, empty handed? Policing was done in the nude? Would we even need policing then? Would we consider warring? I wouldn’t have a problem shedding a few crocodile tears over the demise of fashion empires… and spending that money on starving kids and their mothers. I’m actually being serious.

        1. Wow, i admire your courage.

I agree, mankind will be subtle if all are naked. I wonder if all politicians will withstand debating if they are all standing naked. Just imagine what kind of folly they would all look like magnifying their opponent’s shortcomings when they’re displaying their brilliance with all their nudity. Just kidding. Forgive me for my naked ignorance.

Thanks Sha’Tara for making me think with your thoughts. Thansk too for stopping by. Have a great october.

  2. Great post Joel. Happy upcoming naked day! Here is a quote from Mark Twain. I happen to disagree. Naked people at the board of directors meetings always has an influence on the mood. “Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.”

    1. Thanks Hyperion for that thought provoking quote from Mark Twain. He sounds like Giorgio Armani. He sounds like a top salesman for the clothes / fashion industry. Just making you smile. 🙂

Thanks for sharing it. Thanks too for taking time reading this post. Have a great sunday.

    1. Thanks Tita Arlene for that beautiful thought for today.

aha, D ko kinaya and letter d, d for daddy d and d for sugar mommy de cinco. Both with letter D’s. I think this is apt for both of them dahil sa d. (dr _ _ s).

      Have a great sunday.

    1. Oh, all that naked quotes on the graphics are not mine. It’s from some poets and actors.. The other one (about naked soul is from Charlie Chaplin). I just incorporate them with my photo.

Of course you’ll love Librans. Our ruling planet is Venus, the Goddess of love and beauty.

By the way, your naked library won’t be complete without your naked photos, and that’s the greatest library you’ll ever own beating all those Pulitzer price collections. 🙂

      Thanks Nita for stopping by.

      1. Nothing could be so true than that old cliche “Beautiful people flock together.”

        Happy Birthday to you too.
        Thanks Marie for stopping by.

Life is short, celebrate your nakedness, not just on your birthday. 🙂

        1. There’s nothing like a good old cliché, Joel. I love the metaphor – it is a metaphor isn’t it? I’m not sure I could celebrate my nakedness too often, it might work out too expensive. I’m on a tight budget! 🙂

        1. You can’t see anything on the photo, i intentionally made it too small. ‘coz i’m shy too. 🙂

Thanks D. Wallace Peach, you made me smile with that shy comment. Have a great day.

  5. Happy belated birthday for the 13th Joel. Too bad we didn’t touch on nakedness when we were discussing things set in stone, huh? We would have come around to discussing our October birthdays! It’s not too late to send me greetings. And that’s the naked truth! 🙂

    1. One thing i’ve learned regarding birthdays: It’s never too late to receive gifts.

Stopping by is a great gift from you, much less sharing your beautiful thoughts here.

Thanks Marie and of course Happy Birthday to you too.

      Take Care.

            1. Michael Buble was on TV last night and he’s so handsome. When I write to other bloggers I often try to picture them … and I wonder do you resemble him? That’s the picture I get whenever I write to you … just a thought! 🙂
